weather in scotland

Faqs | Latest News | Seasons | Tuition | Weather | Getting Here

Scottish weather is renowned for its unpredictability!!!. So do check it out before you come! Below we give links to the best local and area weather forecasts. Perthshire lies on the eastern seaboard, so can often be relatively sheltered from the winter storms.

The weather can have a serious impact on fishing with probably the worst being an easterly or north easterly wind. Wind direction can also impact the type of cast used. River conditions can also vary, dependent on the prevailing weather conditions. We will endeavour at all times to keep you right - but do have to reserve the right to advise a change of itinerary or even date of your trip should weather conditions be such as to seriously affect the potential enjoyment of your experience. We are here to please, not to disappoint.

Best weather links are

www.aberfeldyweather.com - easily our best local guide – gives an excellent current and 5-7 day advance forecast

www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=3070 – gives you the local postcode forecast – largely for Pitlochry – not always close enough to be fully accurate!!! The home page

www.bbc.co.uk/weather - can also be helpful in determining the weather in other areas especially if you are travelling a distance.
